About us

Rooted in Yemen’s Coffee Heritage

The journey of Iman Almarwani bringing authentic Yemeni coffee and culture to New York through Qahwah Valley.

For centuries, Yemen has been known as the birthplace of coffee, where coffee was first cultivated and shared with the world through the historic port of Mocha. Inspired by this rich heritage, Iman Almarwani founded Qahwah Valley in New York to share authentic Yemeni coffee, culture, and hospitality through her two coffee shop locations. Born and raised in Sana’a, Yemen, Iman later lived in Sweden for over a decade, where she worked in education while continuing her academic and creative journey. She holds a degree in English Literature from Sana’a University, studied Film Industry in Sweden, and pursued additional studies in Business Administration and Intercultural Studies. Today, as an entrepreneur, filmmaker, and community leader, she continues to share Yemen’s story and traditions through Qahwah Valley.
